New Decals

Added some decals purchased via Ebay (from Australia). The seller sent me the wrong decals and promptly resend the correct one upon me informing him. Great service.



Bike is a little bit dirty due to the wet road and rain!





Vintage Columbus Tubing Decal - opted for the Vintage version that does not indicate type of tubing, of course we all know is actually the lowly 'Aelle' tubes...Matching decals on the fork as well





Championship Stripes - only opted to get this as the original bike had the stripes as well.

Here are a few Tecnotrat 'Saronni' and 'Others' still hard at work. Tecnotrat shipped a lot of these frames during the 1985-1989 period, badging them as Saronnis, Ferraris, Europa, a whole lot more! 2011 NTU Bike Rally - Completed!

First 'official' ride of the year. This is the first time I participated in this event and boy, no regrets. It's a real mixed bag and I opted to try to chase the fast ones and managed to keep up. Good thing there were a lot of stop points (every 20km or so..) Garmin data as below....only tracked 140km...lost 8km of data as I forgot to switch it on upon leaving NTU rest point. 2011 NTU Bike Rally by boostbutt at Garmin Connect - Details This year, KL, Ben and I participated. We rode from our homes, met up at the usual Nicoll H'way stop and went to the F1 pit. About 1000 people signed up for the event...I think perhaps 800-900 turned up. We were mostly together during the rides until after NTU where we kinda split a bit but still meet up at the rest points. I managed to complete the last 4 stages with the fastest group (arriving at rest stops which were empty!) with the Coastal one being the most brutal as cramps started to creep in. Desaru Loop on Fixed Gear Power!

Completed one of my Fixed Gear goals for the year! Kicked off at my block at around 6am. Veit and KL was already waiting downstairs. Veit took my Colnago. So, 2 road bikes and one fixed. Total expected ride distance : 136km. Took a leisurely ride to CVFT. We were quite happy to see that there were not many people around so we managed to get ourselves on the 2nd boat which left at 7.15am. Rather uneventful boat ride and we reached PFT (Pegerang Ferry Terminal) at 8am. Weather was great (it always is at that time of the day!) but as we reached Sg. Rengit, the sun was coming out of sleep and we knew we were in for some hot weather! We stocked up a little at Sg. Rengit on 100-plus and went on our way. The 25km route to Petronas was the very familiar undulating rolling hills and I managed that in good speed with no issues. Felt rather strong in fact, going into Petronas.
